This month (July 12th) we have had a conference in the @EPCC_Unex from Jón Atli Benediktsson titled «Morphological Profiles in Classification of Remote Sensing Imagery» (University of Iceland).
This conference was organized for Antonio Plaza of the Hyperspectral Computing Laboratory in the Department of Technology of Computers and Communications of the University of Extremadura (http://www.umbc.edu/rssipl/people/aplaza/).
There were many attendees for the month of July (mid-July).
Jón Benediktsson covered topics such as very high resolution, hyperespectral data cubes, morphological operators, morphological profiles (MP), classification map, feature selection, etc.
He explained some classic techniques of image processing perfectly adapted to their particular field of application.
This conference raised questions of the participants from different fields of application in the several research groups in our Polytechnic School.
In the end we won a well deserved break 🙂
